Modify Deck

Used to modify steel, concrete and composite decks. Opens when decks placed using (Place Deck) are selected with the (Modify Properties).

Setting	Description
General	Both the Place By and Concrete Fill settings are disabled in Modify Deck.
Steel Deck	Contains controls used to modify the DataGroup catalog Type and Instance for the steel deck. Catalog Type – Displays `Steel Deck` DataGroup catalog type to be used for steel decking. Catalog Instance – Sets the DataGroup catalog type instance to be used for steel decking. Options available: Floor Deck Roof Deck
Kind	Used to modify the steel decking specification mode. Options available: Table Sine Wave Standard
Kind: Table - Properties	Organization – Used to modify the steel decking manufacturer dataset used for the deck. Selecting an organization updates other options related to the steel decking manufacturer. Revision – Displays the manufacturer data editions, the year. Profile Name – Used to modify the default profile from available steel deck profiles in the selected manufacturer data edition (Revision).
Steel Deck Properties	Contains controls used to modify the steel decking properties. Profile dimensions [Tw, Dw, Bw and D] are read only when using manufacturer data, but can be modified if the deck was placed with the Kind: Standard. The profile dimensions automatically reset with profile name. Thickness (T) – Sets the steel decking material thickness. Selectable from available options when Kind: Table, and manually alterable for other Kinds; the value gets rounded to the nearest thickness option. Model Sheet Width – Used to modify the show/hide status of the edges of the individual steel sheets that make up the steel deck. Sheet Width – Used to set the width of the individual steel sheets that make up the steel deck. Overhang – Used to modify the overhang distance applied to the deck edges. Wave Length (L) – Enabled for Kind: Sine Wave. Sets the size of the sine wave from trough to trough which defines the decking profile. Depth (D) – Editable for Kind: Sine Wave. Sets the width of the decking profile's overall dept.
Modify	Used to validate and apply the steel deck settings changes.
Close	Dismisses all changes and closes the tool settings window.
Deck (Properties) tab	Deck properties defined on the General tab are available here as well as all the other Structural member properties stored in the DataGroup System. Contains controls used to modify the DataGroup properties of the deck. By default the Steel Deck properties panel is always preset. Besides the Steel deck properties, the Concrete and Composite Deck properties are available when Concrete Fill option was set while placing the deck. There are several built in methods for entering property values: Section Picker — Clicking in the Section Name property value field opens a section picker which is used to browse and select section definitions from loaded section files. Pick List — Clicking on properties that are of a type which has a finite set of values such as Structural Type and Structural Material open pick lists. Part Selector — Clicking in the Part Definition property value field opens a part selector. The section picker is similar to one seen in member placement, and it used to select part family combo settings. MRU’s — Clicking on properties that are of a type which accept user defined values such as `ID \| Type ID` open most recently used pick lists.
